Rates for Fly Casting Lessons near Orlando
Personal Fly Casting lessons are $50/hour. Add a second student at the same lesson for $25. Call or email for groups of 3 or more.
Most students generally take instruction one hour per session. Lessons are usually given in the Longwood area. Special arrangements may be made for other locations for an additional cost. No equipment or prior experience is necessary. Classes are individually tailored to meet the needs of the student. You can expected detailed professional instruction from Capt. Chris Myers, a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor and full time saltwater flats fishing guide with over 20 years of fly fishing and fly casting experience. These classes may cover such things as loop control and formation, improving fly casting distance, identifying and correcting common casting errors, developing a double haul technique, shooting line and improving accuracy, overcoming the wind, and much more. Instruction may include slow motion video analysis, if requested, for an additional $20 fee.
Group fly casting lessons may be held at your location. Minimum class size is 4, maximum 6. Large scale fly casting classes and or demonstrations can be arranged for corporations or groups. Email me or call 321-229-2848 for more info.
Video Fly Casting Analysis
I also affer a video only program for those who do not live in the Orlando area or who are unable to or do not wish to attend a one on one lesson. Send me a video of your fly casting and I will provide a full written analysis of any observed casting mistakes or errors along with corrective actions that can be taken to improve your fly fishing cast. This program is $25 for the first session and $20 for each follow up session.
Fly Fishing Charters
Fly charters can also be arranged. Capt. Chris is a full time flats fishing guide specializing in sight fishing for redfish in Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River Lagoon with fly and light tackle. All charters are from a Hewes flats fishing boat and include all licenes, equipment, and tackle.
